Patricio is a chef by profession, who some time ago, after being imprisoned in Unit 15, achieved his long-awaited freedom, but returned to visit and collaborate in the recent event that brought together Judges this past July 9.
His gastronomic profession, chef, allowed him to develop collaboration with those who are in charge of the rotisserie of the space and together with another chef, they managed to put together a work team that when tasting the traditional dish could see not only the good taste for the assembly of the plating, but also for how tasty the food turned out.
He said that he has been free for five years and that every day is a sacrifice, an effort, not to stray from what corresponds and work very hard, earn his bread with the sweat of his brow, as on other occasions, he says no get tired of saying it, live a very good day every day, even if things are adverse and always try to be a better person.
He remembers that in 2015 he prepared a locro for more than one thousand two hundred people, entrusted by the municipality of Gral. Pueyrredón for the town of Batán, food that the local residents enjoyed.
He remembers that he received a lot of gifts as thanks, he had been in the unit for five days and they gave him that job, he also commented that since that day he had some privileges such as being in a pavilion where he met two brothers, Carlos and Matías And since then, many things have changed for the better.
He said that it was not hard for him to return to life outside the walls, since, together with his recently mentioned companions, he learned to work the land, and to create orchards, sow and harvest fruits.
He pointed out that he went free and those with whom he built a friendship continued to grow, he says he was impressed with the achievements that are displayed, he remarks that he still does not stop being amazed by what was built in this place.
Reflection for those who are coming to recover their freedom
“That when they close the gate from behind and go back out into the street, remember that ugly moments are lived here, sometimes, because in the running of the bulls the family is missed, and that they move forward with humility, with pride of being in freedom and that they work and do not dedicate themselves to anything else.”
He continued expressing: "we all make mistakes in life, but there is a point where you have to realize that it is wrong, the day you realize that, your life will shine."
