We received the visit of a former student of the diploma that Liberté successfully organized in conjunction with the University of Mar del Plata from the prison itself last year, it is the Bachelor of Psychology Cecilia Pintos.

Cecilia, who a few days ago arrived in the Liberté territory in the morning and toured its facilities, also had a nice and interesting talk where various aspects of the present and future stood out, as well as the history of the cooperative entity today.

In dialogue with the Liberté press, she told us her personal story and how she came into contact with us.

He said that he was born in Uruguay, in Montevideo, the eastern capital, and from an early age, together with his parents, they moved to Buenos Aires.

She later studied psychology and a short time later she emigrated to Canada where she has lived for 26 years and currently lives in the Saskatchewan province of that country.

She mentioned that she accepted the degree through a friend and since then she has become deeply interested not only in prison issues but also in what Liberté represents today.

When asked that she is Liberté, she replied: “Liberté is a hymn to life.”

She celebrated the development of this, our space, and promised to work from her profession on issues directly related to life in prison.

Finally, our visitor, when referring to the fact that it is difficult not to get involved after having learned from the same place that darkness can be transformed into clarity, we consider our entity as the "starting point" since after its creation A before and after was established in the prison way of life, since breathing the air of Liberté makes a difficult situation in life transform into something more dignified for people in captivity.
