From its own organic chicken coop, a production of almost seventy eggs per day is already observed.

Shortly after the organic chicken coop was established, under technical advice from INTA, our work cooperative, already collects a significant amount of this poultry product.

Alejandro, coordinator of the aforementioned task, told us details of this important production pole within our cooperative structure.

He tells us that there are a total of about seventy-four red hens that make up the campus, with a daily production of approximately sixty-two brown eggs, for now, since some twelve hens that are younger than the rest, are not yet producing , so it is estimated that there will be an increase in production in a short time.

Regarding food, he says that it is a special food that is given to them daily and the product obtained from these birds has a very high protein value.

He also tells about the care that must be taken with these producers, since for any reason they can suffer stress and the contradictory situation would be reflected in the position that would be detrimental.

"We feed them once daily and control the water, we also ventilate their place by lifting the nylon that covers the walls of the chicken coop and control the temperatures or winds to protect the birds from possible low temperatures, ensuring the tarpaulins are covering their habitat well."

There are no more than two people who attend the hens, and he adds that this is a fundamental detail so that the stress we are talking about does not occur.

We are happy, Alejandro added, to belong to this cooperative and work in this production center that is growing day by day.
