Career path
Juan Carlos Comperatore is an Argentine painter and sculptor. He studied sculpture at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón and earned his teaching degree in drawing at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Manuel Belgrano. He built his professional career in Necochea, where he was a founding professor of the Escuela Provincial de Artes Nº 500 and served as Undersecretary of Culture. In 2012 he was declared an Illustrious Son of Necochea. His work spans painting and sculpture, without a fixed thematic program: each piece responds to its own impulse rather than belonging to a series. He worked as a caricaturist for the newspaper Ecos Diarios. In connection with Liberté, he designed "El Mural Más Lindo Del Mundo" — painted on the wall of the passageway facing the Unidad Penal N°15 in Batán, coordinated internally by artist Betina Ferrara alongside incarcerated people.
