Program launch details
The diploma program will open on Saturday, June 3, and we will have the honor of welcoming Alexander Roig, president of the National Institute of Associativism and Social Economy (INAES), who will lead the introduction to this learning journey.
Format and platforms
The diploma program will be held in virtual format through Liberté's platforms, which include Zoom, online radio, FM radio, our virtual campus, and our YouTube channel.
Our general goal is to provide the knowledge and practices needed to transform the punitive-repressive paradigm still present in our democratic societies, fostering a perspective grounded in an ethics of care, well-being, and human dignity. We will work on the issue of crime, social integration, and the building of a more just and inclusive society from a gender perspective.
Topics and skills
In this diploma program, we will address critical and transformative topics regarding the execution of sentences, from human rights and a gender perspective to penitentiary systems and restorative justice. We will also develop dialogical skills for conflict resolution and foster a culture of self-management.
Thematic areas
We will cover ten thematic areas, including paradigm change, sentence execution, the penitentiary system, restorative justice, dialogue facilitation, comprehensive health and self-care, gender, families, education in confinement, and self-management and work.
Schedule and assessment
Classes will be held on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a total of 25 sessions adding up to 75 clock hours. We also expect participants to devote time to completing practical assignments as an important part of the training, bringing the total to 100 clock hours.
To obtain certification, attendance at at least 75% of classes is required, which will be verified through the record on the Zoom platform and/or the Campus.
Closing message
We are excited to begin this journey together, and we hope this will be a space for learning and growth for everyone.
Warm regards,
Social Integration Diploma Team of Liberté.
