Format: Virtual Zoom platform. Virtual Campus. YouTube channel, and inside the Batán prison via FM Radio.
Biweekly classes: Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Asynchronous activities: completion of practical assignments.
Starting Saturday, May 21 and ending Saturday, November 19.

Student Profile: The program is aimed at people in a situation of imprisonment, professionals, and the general public from different fields of legal and social knowledge, engaged directly or indirectly in research, teaching, outreach, and community action related to the context of confinement.

Context and goals of the program
Background: This program responds to a demand for training that can bring about a meaningful shift away from the punitive-repressive approach to crime, both within the context of confinement and at the heart of our democratic societies. Public-policy models centered on security, such as prison institutions devoted to "social reinsertion," seem to disregard legislation grounded in international treaties that proclaim and demand respect for human rights and social integration. Instead, they continue to uphold models that leave out the ethical-relational nature of this problem. This serious situation calls for an urgent shift in how security and crime are approached, one that would allow these institutions to transform themselves and align with democratic values that make the preservation and care of life, in all its expressions, sustainable.
The aim is to provide a theoretical perspective and to generate practices that make it possible to rethink and influence current public policy.
Goals and content
Goals: To build knowledge and practices among participants that allow for a radical shift away from the punitive-repressive paradigm that still persists in democratic societies, toward a perspective grounded in an ethics of care.
Content: Teaching will be organized around the 8 thematic areas presented below. Regarding gender issues, it should be noted that, while gender is a thematic area in its own right, it will also be addressed as a cross-cutting issue throughout all the other thematic areas.

-Paradigm Shift: From the paradigm of punishment and penalty to a perspective grounded in an ethics of care within the context of confinement. Self-management and Power: from the oppression of the pyramid to the strength of the network. A feminist vision of horizontality.
-Sentence Enforcement: Principles of sentence enforcement through the lens of human rights and a gender perspective. International law. National and provincial regulations. Procedural aspects. Guarantees. Victim participation in sentence enforcement.
-Restorative Justice. Care as a way of relating: care for oneself, care for others, and care for planetary sustainability. Ecofeminism and citizenship. Perceiving otherness: from viewing the other as an enemy to recognizing them as a fellow human being. Peer-to-peer care. Víctimas por la Paz.
-Comprehensive Health and Self-care. Mental health. Health facilitators: health-promotion project. Suicide prevention. Problematic substance use. Medical care for men, women, and gender-diverse people.
-Facilitating Dialogue: Conflict Prevention and Resolution Committee. The "Probemos Hablando" and "Concordia" programs of the Procuración Penitenciaria de la Nación. The importance of implementing new mechanisms from a gender perspective.

-Families: The effects of offensive acts on the families of people in a situation of imprisonment and on the families of victims, and how these are addressed. The situation of mothers in a situation of imprisonment separated from their children. Reconnecting with their children. Non-governmental associations and practices. The effect of gender stereotypes (on how the accompanying family group is formed).
-Self-management and Work: Popular economy. The perspective of the biocentric economy. Food sovereignty. Cooperativism. Feminized tasks.
