Penitentiary Unit No. 3, for men, is located in the town of Concordia, province of Entre Ríos. A cooperative of local prisoners has started operating there a short time ago.
In dialogue with Mr. Maximiliano Silvero, who is the educational coordinator of the aforementioned unit, Prensa Liberté, he was able to learn details of this cooperative venture, where local prisoners who make wooden handicrafts began a path of change for their lives.
Maximiliano begins this dialogue by telling us that at the beginning of October 2021, they begin to shape the project, convening the group of interns, working on its formation and clearing up some doubts. He cites that activities began, under the structure of a work cooperative, before receiving the corresponding registration.

A group of cooperative experts arrived in our Liberté territory, who after making a tour of the interior of the space, positively analyzed the work of our entity.

Prensa Liberté, came to this space, located in the Batán prison, to talk with members of the sector, in order to learn about the various activities that have been taking place there.
On the occasion, we were able to talk with Facundo Peralta, who is a reference for the place, who told us about a variety of tasks carried out during the course of this year.

Marisa Pombo, is a psychologist, works in the Ministry of Justice of the Nation, from Penitentiary Affairs. Any Acevedo is a lawyer and works as a dialogue facilitator in the context of confinement, in the “Try talking” Program; Both emphasize over and over again being founding members of the cooperative space.
